Water-borne non-yellowing polyisocyanate hardners
M-3171W-100 is hydrophilic nonyellowing aliphatic isocyanurate as a hardener for two-component waterborne polyurethane systems. It can also serve as an additive to improve the hydrophilicity of waterborne coating. Because of its good hydrophilic property, M-3171W-100 is readily dispersed in water. M-3171W-100 can be diluted with esters, ether esters, xylene, solvesso 100. Generally the compatibility is good in the above solvents, but long-term stability needs to be tested. It is highly recommended to use PU-grade solvents to dilute (water content < 0.05% and no active hydrogen such as hydroxyl and amine). M-3171W-100 is recommended for waterborne PU adhesive or coating systems. The dispersibility in water is excellent. Homogenous dispersion in water can be achieved even with hand-mixing using a stir stick.
